New Voter Registrations - September 2023

New voter registrations this year continue to lag behind compared to the same period in 2019. The gap widened last month, with only two-thirds as many new voters registered this September versus four years ago. Virginia implemented same day voter registration in 2022. This allows eligible Virginians to apply to register to vote after the regular deadline of October 16th and cast a provisional ballot.
